THE DERA MOMENT

The Dera or Dira Dress is from Somali cultural dressing that was later adopted by the Swahili community in Kenya. Its basically a free cotton dress stitched at the seams with no fastenings or openings.

Deras are traditional free it dresses worn in most African communities, they are comfortable, liberating and the prints and patterns on the material used are always so beautiful and bright.
